Jade Holografico Magia Negra

Happy Sunday everyone!  I hope your summer has been treating you well thus far.  I haven't had any real chunk of time off from work yet, so I am super excited that the hubby and I will be taking a little road trip to the US some time next month.  I plan on hauling my little polish-loving heart out!  Anyone else have any exciting plans??

Anyhoo, on to the polish!  Today I have Jade Holografico Magia Negra...a black holographic polish!  In the past year, holographic polishes hailing from Brazil have been a pretty huge deal in the polish world.  First, Hits released their No Olimpo holographic collection which included a black holo (Zeus), and recently, in Jade's Holografico line, Magia Negra was released.

Magia Negra is so flippin' fabulous, I have to say.  I am wearing two coats of Magia Negra in my NOTD pic below.  No undies, just two coats of black holo fabulousness (topped off with Seche Vite, and no, it didn't dull the holo effect...huzzah!).  Magia Negra's formula was smooth as butter and it has the same kind of sorta-linear/sorta-scattered holo thing happening that most of the OPI DS holos have.  So pretty!

I highly encourage anyone who is a black holo lover to run and buy Magia Negra, you won't be sorry you did.  Jade holographic polishes are available for purchase at Llarowe, which is where I picked my bottle up!

Ok, so sorry for the long-winded post....here's the pic!!

It is seriously so much more impressive in person, so I hope my pic does it at least an ounce of justice lol.

Here's a quick nail wheel swatch I did of Magia Negra to show how opaque it is.  LOOK at how opaque it is even on the first coat...insanity I tell ya!!

As always, thanks for checking out my little blog! <3

Pahlish Toxic and Timeless

I know I say this all the time...but I am SUPER excited to be sharing this polish today.  It's an indie polish made by the lovely Shannon of Pahlish.  This is so pretty.  It has blue and green hex and bar glitter as well as iridescent micro glitter in a green jelly base.  It is LOVE!

I am wearing one coat Toxic and Timeless over 3 coats of Verity Bright Green (gifted to me from the lovely Linda <3).  I have to say, the formula for T&T was really nice.  It definitely wasn't too thick, which can sometimes happen with glitter polishes, and it went on pretty evenly.

Pahlish is available for purchase on Etsy and will also be available through Llarowe beginning tomorrow at 1 p.m. MST.

I recently noticed some other blogging ladies had posted pics of T&T looking slightly different than mine, so I inquired with Shannon about this.  She informed me that a few friends had requested bottles of T&T without the bar glitters.  They're definitely not everyone's cup of tea, so I get that.  I just wanted to make sure that the polish I am showing here on my blog is still and/or will be available for purchase.  Shannon also informed me that T&T is currently being produced without the green bar glitters (but still with the blue ones) as she is currently working out some issues with that particular glitter.  I have to say, I really admire her dedication to ensuring she is using quality ingredients...that says a lot to me about her integrity.

Again, kudos to Shannon for trying to work out the glitter issue asap so she can continue to produce this gorgeous polish.  It is definitely worth checking out and waiting for if you are digging these bar glitters! ;)  And I say that as someone is normally not a huge fan of bar glitters...I can't get enough of 'em in T&T!!!

Anyhoo, enough of my jabbering...here's the pic!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Chemistry 518

I just love summer when it's actually sunny like it has been...it means I get to WEAR ALL THE HOLOS!!

Yeah, that's pretty much me all summer long!  Anyhoo, my friend, the lovely Kristy of The Polish Haven fame, sent me Chemistry 518 a while back.  Chemistry 518 is an exact dupe of Ozotic and Artform 518 as I understand it.  It is a fabulous cool-leaning red holographic polish.  The formula was pretty good but I did need to thin it a bit prior to application.  Went on marvelously after that, however.  I love this kind of holo.  It's similar to the OPI Designer Series holos of old in both holo appearance (linear yet not in the same way as say, the Layla holos) and application.

Sadly, I believe the 500 series of the Ozotics is being discontinued, so this beautiful polish will likely be difficult to obtain in the near future.  Such a bummer since the world needs more accessible and beautiful holos like these.  If you ever have the opportunity to get this polish...do it!!! You won't be sorry you did!

I'm wearing three coats of 518 and one coat of OPI DS topcoat in this pic.

As always, thanks for popping by and I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!! <3

Jade Holografico Fascinio Violeta

Happy Sunday folks!  It looks like summer has officially arrived in Canada as it is currently a sweltering 29c (that's 84f for my American friends <3) here right now.  I am positively melting!

We haven't had a really nice and hot summer here like this in a few years.  Last year, it rained here most of the summer and I think we only went above 25c maybe twice.  Either way, I love warm weather...so I'll take this!  And since it's warm, that means the sun is out at full force lately...which can only mean one thing: HOLO NAIL POLISH TIME!!! *happy dance*

Today I have Jade Holografico Fascinio Violeta to share with you.  I am absolutely smitten with this polish.  I adore OPI DS Original, but THIS polish is what I wanted DS Original to be...so yeah, it's pretty fab.  I ordered this polish through Llarowe, so that's where you folks can procure it as well.  I believe Jade is another amazing Brazilian polish brand.  Must be something in the water over there where they make freaking awesome holographic polishes!

I'm wearing 2 coats here with a coat of Seche Vite over top.  As you can see, no holo dullage here!  I will say that the application was pretty good, but I did have to stop and thin my bottle a bit.  After thinning Fascinio Violeta, it went on like butter though!  This is an interesting polish, it's mostly linear but it looks a bit scattered in my pic.  But enough of my jabbering, check it out for yourself:

As always, thanks for stopping by!  I hope the summer has been treating you well! <3
